We may require that you undergo a capacity assessment with a third-party professional if we reasonably consider this necessary. We charge £150 plus VAT for organising an assessment of capacity with a third-party specialist.
Third party charges are not included, such as the £82 registration fee charged by the Office of the Public Guardian for each LPA (there is a separate charge for the LPA for health and welfare and for the LPA for property and financial affairs) or third-party charges for a capacity assessment.
Our fixed fees do not extend to any part of the work that becomes unreasonably excessive or that a solicitor in our position would not have reasonably foreseen as being required.
