Sabina Masimova

Sabina has been a member of the Shortlands team since 2023, advising and representing clients across all aspects of family law, with a particular focus on divorce, financial remedy proceedings and child arrangements.

Prior to qualifying as a solicitor in England and Wales, she gained extensive legal experience as an in-house lawyer, dealing with a broad range of immigration, commercial and regulatory matters. She has developed a strong international practice, acting for clients in matters involving cross-border issues and families with connections to multiple jurisdictions. Fluent in English, Azerbaijani and Russian, Sabina combines legal expertise with cultural and linguistic understanding to support an international client base spanning more than 15 countries. Her ability to communicate directly with clients in their preferred language allows her to build strong relationships, understand the wider context of their circumstances and navigate the complexities that arise when different legal systems intersect. She is committed to delivering clear, practical and tailored advice, helping clients achieve effective and pragmatic solutions during what are often sensitive and challenging family law matters.

Sabina holds an LLB (1997), LLM (2002) and was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 2022.
